Before the wedding....
Ginny is all ready for Elaine to come and spend the night at her suite.

She'd gone to Manny and made a deal with him to fix some things of his with magic in return for a few little items they might need by the time Elaine gets married in the morning.

She's also gotten all sorts of snacks and drinks from the restaurant downstairs.

Now all she needs is for Elaine to arrive!

	Elaine arrives, clutching her wedding things in her hands and looking pale and very, very nervous. She doesn't have any hands left to knock, she realizes belatedly. 	It only takes a moment for the door to open, and Ginny is there, to help carry her things inside. "Hi! Come on in! Let's get your dress hung up! Can I see it?" She's a little excited. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Of course... I have been anxious to show it to someone." She puts her dress (hangers are such an interesting invention, she wonders why they hadn't invented them back in her time, so simple) on the back of the door. It's a simple white linen gown with blue embroidery on the hem, neckline and sleeves. It looks...fairly rectangular, but there are laces at the sides and neckline to shape it to her body.

"I found it in the Boutique--I knew that they had clothing from my time but I was not expecting something so perfect for me."

	"Oh, Elaine! It's brilliant, and will look gorgeous on you!" She goes to her closet and brings out a dress of her own. She'd tried to keep in mind the more modest styles of Elaine's time, and tried to keep it simple, so as not to distract from Elaine's spotlight. "This is the one I picked out to wear, myself. 	"Well, first come in and sit down, and we'll have some tea." Ginny has the teapot set out, and goes and taps it with her wand. Steam rises from the spout immediately, and she smiles with satisfaction. 	"Tea sounds very nice indeed." And much better than whatever alcoholic beverage she would normally drink. She really isn't a heavy drinker. She watches Ginny as she works her magic. Elaine nods. "It doesn't take much. Sparhawk is moving into my room, so I didn't really have to bring much outside of my dress and underthings."

Well, chemise and stockings, anyway. Women in Elaine's time did not wear very much in the way of undergarments. "I was advised that I should keep my flowers somewhere cold, however." She brought out her crown of pale pink roses and her small, simple bouquet made of the field flowers she'd loved when she lived back home. "I should put them in the refrigerator, I suppose."
